I hope you are well? and you’ve been enjoying summer so far...
It’s been two weeks since the closing of Dulwich Festival Artist Open House and I’m so very grateful to everyone who was able to pop in and see my latest paintings in real life. This year was my 7th open house, my first was in 2020 during lock down! it was a virtual open house and we had to do it all online.
Just 3 years after getting back to painting again, there I was trying to speak live on instagram about my works - nerve wracking to say the least!
Fast forward a few years and finally, I’m able to speak publicly and confidently about my work. It’s still a little out of my comfort zone but I don’t find it as difficult as I used to. Art is my language, so to finally find the words for the one thing that I didn’t originally have the words for, has been a journey.
I do also prefer for viewers to take away with them what they will of my work. I don't think It’s for me to tell you what it is, I believe it’s for you to feel whatever you feel when you’re in front of it.
Many people from all walks of life have connected with my work for different reasons. Knowing that I’ve been in my own head, having conversations with myself creating these pieces and someone comes along and is moved so much that they want to live with it - that is the best feeling.

Since March, I’ve been working on an exciting new project in the Caribbean, and I’m looking forward to sharing more details with you once it reaches completion later this summer.
I’m also very grateful that my large-scale work, Have A Little More Faith has found a new home there. I'm humbled by the opportunities that continue to come my way as I live and create consciously and in gratitude.
This month brought another exciting milestone, as Azart Gallery, NY, exhibited my works at the Affordable Art Fair in Texas for the first time. I’m incredibly thankful to my gallerist for her ongoing support and belief in my work. Through this representation, my art continues to reach new audiences across the United States.

I’m excited to share some lovely news;
Following my solo exhibition at Carnegie Library in April, I’m collaborating with The Carnegie Café to curate artwork throughout its beautiful Grade II listed space.
The idea behind Carnegie Curates is simple: to create an opportunity for local artists to share their work, year round with the community in what is already a welcoming and inspiring setting. There will be a rotating exhibition of artwork to enjoy and purchase. It will begin with a launch night which will be followed by a programme of talks, seminars and creative evenings.
North London & Bristol!
If you live north of the river and would like to see my work in real life and closer to home, you can visit Kell Art Gallery in Hackney Downs. I will soon be assigning some new works to them and who knows, a few may end up in their recently opened Bristol gallery!
