I can’t believe I’m already wishing you a Happy New Year – that felt like the quickest Christmas and New Year ever! I hope you managed to have a good rest? Happy New Year!
One thing I did manage to do was finish the new painting I started at the beginning of December. If you remember the photo I shared in my last blog, it was just a blank canvas. Now, it’s complete and looking for a new and loving home.
Behind my bold, colourful paintings are real-life experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Living by the rule of “in the moment” when creating, I try to call on current happenings and learnings in my life, and sometimes, an amalgamation of different experiences find their way into the work.
This piece is entitled Hold On, Let Go. lts one of my largest pieces to date at 150cm x 90cm, oil on stretched canvas. Its inspired by the idea that we can transform grief into a powerful force for healing, reflection, and the celebration of life.
Please view the piece and more detailed shots on my website. This painting is available with free UK nominated delivery.

16th - 19th January
I’m really pleased to let you know that my work will be exhibited at World Art Expo 2025 in Seoul, Korea. I’m currently prepping the pieces that will be shown, they are being developed in a really interesting and innovative way and I can’t wait to share them with you in my next newsletter.
A Series Of Natural And Spontaneous Changes - in situe.
I really love this interior visual of my previous painting. With each completed painting, it’s always good to superimpose it at relative size in an interior setting. I hope this helps you to visualise how a painting could potentially look in a similar space. Please feel free to email me an image of your space and the painting you are considering to see how it could look before committing to buy.
This original abstract art painting is available for sale, so please view it here or reply to this email and arrange a studio visit to see all of my latest paintings in person.
In the studio…
Ok, so this isn’t quite in the studio, it’s my lap in-front of the many Christmas movies I managed to watch over the last couple of weeks. I cannot not make art! 😅 Actual studio shots of other new work will follow in my next newsletter.
Thank you for taking the time to read my news, until next time and with gratitude,
Courtenay.
